ACV WaterMaster Evo 70–85kW
The ACV WaterMaster Evo 70–85kW range is designed for installations requiring a high volume of domestic hot water with strong peak and continuous-flow performance. The range includes the WaterMaster 70 Evo and WaterMaster 85 Evo, offering maximum LCV heating inputs of approximately 69.9kW and 85.0kW respectively.
Both models use ACV’s proven Tank-in-Tank technology, stainless-steel domestic hot-water storage and condensing operation. They are designed for high-demand domestic hot-water applications across suitable residential, commercial and institutional installations.
The WaterMaster Evo 70 and 85 are designed around high-volume domestic hot-water production rather than conventional small domestic boiler applications.
Each model provides approximately 315 litres of total tank capacity, consisting of a 125-litre primary circuit and 190-litre domestic hot-water tank.
This combination of stored hot water and high heating input allows the WaterMaster Evo to provide substantial peak and continuous hot-water output.
ACV specifies the following peak flow performance at 40°C:
Continuous flow at 40°C is specified at approximately:
Actual performance depends on incoming mains-water temperature, operating conditions, system design and the required outlet temperature. ACV’s published performance figures assume an incoming water temperature of 10°C.
A defining feature of the WaterMaster Evo is ACV’s Tank-in-Tank technology.
The domestic hot-water storage tank is positioned inside the primary heating tank. The domestic hot-water tank is manufactured from stainless steel and is surrounded by primary heating water, allowing heat to be transferred efficiently across the large available exchange surface.
The 70 Evo and 85 Evo each provide approximately 190 litres of domestic hot-water storage.
ACV also states that the stainless-steel domestic hot-water tank does not require anode protection, which can help simplify maintenance compared with systems that depend on conventional sacrificial anodes.
The WaterMaster Evo operates as a condensing domestic hot-water heater.
ACV specifies DHW efficiency of 107.7% under the EN89 methodology for both the 70 Evo and 85 Evo. The manufacturer also specifies combustion efficiency of approximately 98.1% for the 70 Evo and 98% for the 85 Evo at maximum output.
The appliance incorporates a modulating air/gas premix burner and ACVMax controls to regulate operation according to demand.
The ACV WaterMaster 70 Evo has a maximum heating input of approximately 69.9kW LCV and 77.6kW HCV.
ACV specifies:
The ACV WaterMaster 85 Evo provides a higher heating input for applications requiring additional hot-water recovery and flow capacity.
ACV specifies a maximum heating input of approximately 85.0kW LCV and 95.3kW HCV.
The 85 Evo provides:
The WaterMaster Evo incorporates stainless-steel components including the domestic hot-water tank and heat exchanger.
ACV states that the stainless-steel heat exchanger is designed to reduce maintenance requirements and contribute to system lifespan.
The stainless-steel DHW tank also eliminates the requirement for anode protection according to ACV’s product information.
The WaterMaster 70 Evo and 85 Evo are particularly relevant where domestic hot-water demand is substantially higher than that of a typical residential installation.
Potential applications include:
The correct model should always be selected following a proper hot-water demand calculation rather than simply choosing the larger output.
For larger hot-water requirements, ACV states that multiple WaterMaster Evo units can be installed in cascade.
Cascade configurations can increase overall hot-water production capacity and can provide additional operational flexibility or backup capacity.
This makes the WaterMaster Evo particularly suitable for larger commercial and institutional projects where a single appliance may not provide sufficient capacity.
The WaterMaster Evo range is available in configurations for natural gas and LPG.
The exact fuel configuration, product reference, gas pressure and conversion requirements must be checked against the specific appliance being supplied.
ACV’s technical documentation provides separate combustion and gas-flow data for different gas configurations, so the exact model and fuel type should be confirmed before ordering.
The WaterMaster Evo uses ACVMax controls together with a modulating premix gas burner.
The appliance also incorporates a high-efficiency circulator pump, temperature sensors, automatic air vent, gas valve and safety controls.
These components work together to control combustion and hot-water production according to operating demand.
The WaterMaster 70 Evo and 85 Evo use a 100/150mm concentric flue connection.
ACV specifies a maximum concentric flue length of approximately 22 metres for both models under the manufacturer’s specified conditions. Actual permissible flue length depends on the installation configuration, bends, terminals and applicable installation requirements.
The flue design must therefore be calculated and installed according to the current ACV installation documentation.
Both the WaterMaster 70 Evo and 85 Evo use:
ACV specifies maximum electrical consumption of approximately 220W for the 70 Evo and 230W for the 85 Evo.

Specifications are based on ACV’s published WaterMaster Evo documentation. Always verify the exact product revision, fuel configuration and installation requirements before ordering.
The main difference between the two models is heating input and resulting hot-water performance.
The 70 Evo provides approximately 69.9kW LCV input and 2,087L/h continuous flow at 40°C.
The 85 Evo increases heating input to approximately 85kW LCV and continuous flow to approximately 2,534L/h at 40°C.
For installations with particularly high or rapidly varying hot-water demand, the 85 Evo may provide additional recovery and flow capacity. However, the correct selection should be based on a calculated domestic hot-water demand profile.
EuroFuelSupply supplies heating, hot-water and energy equipment to supported European markets for residential customers, installers, trade buyers, developers, retailers and wholesale customers.
When ordering an ACV WaterMaster Evo, confirm:
For commercial developments or multiple-unit installations, request a quotation so the correct product configuration and availability can be confirmed.
The WaterMaster Evo is a gas-fired appliance and should be installed, commissioned and serviced by a suitably qualified professional.
The installation must comply with ACV’s current installation instructions and the regulations applicable in the country where the appliance is installed.
Flue sizing, gas supply, ventilation, condensate drainage, hydraulic connections, pressure requirements and safety devices should all be checked before installation.
The ACV WaterMaster Evo 70–85kW range consists of high-output condensing domestic hot-water heaters designed for high-demand residential, commercial and institutional applications.
The range includes the WaterMaster 70 Evo and WaterMaster 85 Evo.
