Firebird Envirogreen Combipac External Oil Boiler

Firebird Envirogreen Combipac External Boiler

The Firebird Envirogreen Combipac External Oil Boiler is an external condensing oil-fired combination boiler designed to provide central heating and domestic hot water from one complete appliance. Its weatherproof external casing makes it suitable for installations where indoor boiler space is limited.

The Envirogreen Combipac range is available in 20kW, 26kW and 35kW heating output models, providing a choice of capacity for different residential heating requirements. Firebird’s documentation gives the range an A ErP rating for heating and B rating for hot water.

External Oil Combi Boiler

The Combipac is designed specifically for outdoor installation. Its robust weatherproof PVC-coated casing protects the boiler from external conditions while allowing the heating appliance to be installed outside the main building.

A factory-fitted frost protection thermostat helps protect the boiler during cold conditions, while the fully insulated and acoustically designed casing contributes to quieter operation.

Because the boiler is installed externally, it can help free valuable indoor space and is particularly useful for properties where there is no suitable internal boiler location.

Central Heating and Instant Hot Water

The Firebird Envirogreen Combipac combines central heating and domestic hot water production in a single oil-fired appliance.

Depending on the selected model, the range provides:

  • 20kW heating output – up to 16 litres/min hot water flow
  • 26kW heating output – up to 16 litres/min hot water flow
  • 35kW heating output – up to 20 litres/min hot water flow

Firebird’s published hot-water figures are based on a 40°C temperature differential. Where water demand exceeds the specified flow, Firebird recommends a flow restrictor to maintain an adequate hot-water temperature.

The system also provides rapid reheating following hot-water draw-off, making the Combipac suitable for homes requiring reliable domestic hot water without a separate hot-water storage cylinder.

Envirogreen Combipac 26–35kW ECE035CPK 35kW 20 L/min A B

The listed external Combipac models measure approximately 945mm high × 720mm wide × 625mm deep. The 20kW and 26kW models weigh approximately 200kg, while the 35kW model weighs approximately 203kg according to the published specification.

Weatherproof External Design

The Combipac is enclosed within a high-quality weatherproof PVC-coated casing, allowing the boiler to be positioned outside without requiring a dedicated boiler room or external building.

The casing is fully insulated to reduce heat loss and acoustically designed to help minimise operating noise. Removable sides provide easier access for servicing and maintenance.

Pipework can be routed from the rear or underneath the boiler, providing installation flexibility for different property layouts.

Condensing Oil Boiler Technology

The Envirogreen Combipac incorporates Firebird’s patented heat exchanger technology and a high-performance low-NOx Elco burner.

The range is designed to maximise useful heat extraction from the fuel while maintaining reliable central heating and domestic hot-water performance. Firebird also identifies the Envirogreen range as HVO ready, supporting the manufacturer’s move toward lower-carbon liquid-fuel options.

Compact Alternative to an Internal Boiler

Installing the Firebird Envirogreen Combipac externally can free space inside the property. This makes the boiler suitable for homes where a conventional internal boiler location is unavailable or where the homeowner wants to retain valuable utility, kitchen or storage space.

Because the Combipac integrates heating and hot-water functions, it can also avoid the need for a separate domestic hot-water cylinder in a typical combi installation.
